Brittany Down Under 2026 biggest festival dedicated to the brittany region outside of France

Get ready, Sydney, because Brittany Down Under is bringing the party straight to North Sydney for it’s second edition! 

On Sunday, 8th February 2026, from 10 am to 5 pm, the breathtaking Sub Base Platypus will be buzzing with the Celtic spirit of the northwestern region of France, Brittany! The Bretons know how to throw a celebration, and this one is sure to be packed with joy and tradition. Make sure to take part in the biggest Brittany festival outside of France!

What to Expect:
  • Vibrant Celtic music and traditional Breton circle dancing, don’t worry if you’re new to it, there will be classes for all levels. Our energetic dance classes will have everyone moving like a pro in no time!
  • Delicious Breton cuisine, including Crêpes, Galettes, Oysters, Seafood and fresh Cider, flavours that will transport you straight to one of the yummiest regions in France
  • Refreshing ice-cold drinks like fresh Beer, Rosé, Cider and more to sip on as you soak up the beautiful Sydney sun.
  • An authentic experience of Breton culture through traditional crafts and clothes. Did you know that the marinière comes from the Brittany region?
 

Whether you’re a Francophile, a foodie, or just love to party, this event is your ticket to the heart of Brittany, without the expensive plane ticket.

Plan Your Trip

There is no parking at the venue, and very limited parking around, so we recommend catching public transport. 

FERRY: Take the F5 Ferry (Neutral Bay line), and get off at North Sydney, a 3-minute walk from the venue. 
TRAIN: Take the T1 or T9 train to Milson’s Point Station, a 12-minute walk from the venue.
